I want to start off by saying I am so happy you made it to our website! My name is Alexandrea and I am the owner of Giggles and Granola. I was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri and went to Notre Dame High School. I decided to go to Loyola University in downtown Chicago for college and graduated with majors in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. While in Chicago I met my now-husband Tim (proud Navy wife) and we had our daughter Francesca and wow did our lives change in the best way possible!

 

At this point we decided to move back to Saint Louis and it made the most sense for our family for me to go back to work full-time. I started looking for childcare and I was so disappointed in what I found. I know that great childcare exists but I did not understand why I was having such a hard time finding it.

 

Our children deserve better. They deserve cleaner classrooms, more imaginative play spaces, wholesome, nutritious meals and teachers that look forward to coming to work each day. Giggles and Granola was inspired by a passion to create this environment for my daughter.

 

Over the past couple of years, I have devoted everything that I have to learning about childcare, early childhood education, and nutrition, and I cannot imagine doing anything else with my life. I always joke with friends and family that working with children is a dream because in no other situation would it be socially acceptable to have a full-on dance party at 10am. So, bring on the music, dancing and learning with your little one each day!
